You guys want a realistic view of what people on the outside think, so here you go. Don’t shoot the messenger. This isn’t from me and I have my own opinions on the issues/questions raised:

-Not as great a job as fans might want to believe.

-No sustained success in over 15 years since Majerus was coach. Therefore, is it the coaches, or is it Utah?

-Consistently recruiting so many foreign players a sign that they can't recruit US players to Utah?

-Always fighting the uphill battle recruiting minorities to play basketball at Utah.

-Need a coach that can develop players because until they start winning regularly they will have a tough time getting top US talent.

-Comments from NBA players bashing Utah doesn't help recruiting.

-The revolving door of players needs to stop. Again, gives an impression that Utah isn't a great place to play basketball.

-Facilities are top notch, but fan support is marginal and putting up a curtain makes it look really bad.

-A top level G5 HC is going to need to be overpaid to go to Utah. The job has been basically a career negative for the last 3 coaches.
