I just spoke with Jaqwondis Burns who was an official visitor for the UCLA game and the Utes made a helluva impression. He’s looking for a great business school, a city that he can put his roots down after football is over, and also a good opportunity on a top-notch defense. For him, Utah checks all of those boxes. Being a verbal commit to a ole Miss, he’s still taken visits to Colorado, Texas, and Utah, before tripping Ole Miss on December 7th. From there, he’ll make a final decision. He loved everything about the Utah trip and was quite frankly blown away by it, especially the defense. BTW, Cam Rising could turn into a recruiting ace for anyone with ties to Texas, which is where Burns was from before going to IMG.
