UCLA was ranked as his as #2 for a while and fell to 5th after a loss to USC last week. They beat #3 Colorado on the first leg of this trip and came into the Huntsman Center ranked #2 again.
Utah led for most of the game and after only holding the lead for less than one minute for the entire game, UCLA saw their hopes of a victory on ESPN's Big Monday slip away when Ines Viaira made a game-tying lay-up on an inbound play with about two seconds left in regulation.
Utah went on to dominate overtime, outscoring the Bruins by 13 in the extra period to win the game 94-81. Utah was plagued by silly turnovers and poor shot selection on occasion. However, the #16 Lady Utes played extremely hard on defense and came away with the victory over the #2 ranked (as of today's rankings) UCLA Bruins.
They've got four games on the road before returning to the Huntsman Center - two this weekend at Oregon followed by a two game road trip to Washington the next weekend.
