-Whittingham said the complete focus is on the Pac-12 for the here and now. For the immediate, the only positive out of the recent conference news is knowing that they have a home for the future.
-He was never really immersed in the conversations. He was locked in and focused on getting the team ready for the season. And then was updated when the time made sense.
-The fallout from the conference stuff this last weekend is not something that is expected to impact the players. They know they have a job to do and that’s the immediate, being, this season and locking in for the Florida game.
-The most development they’ve made has really been across-the-board. They have the majority of the offensive and defensive installs already done.
-The backup quarterback situation currently has not changed, and Whittingham is hoping for more clarity Thursday after their scrimmage, so that he can have a pecking order by this upcoming Monday. That's the best case scenario for the No. 2 quarterback.
-Cam is still the same as he was last week and they are being very careful with the process on ramping him up. Things will get more tenuous if it’s a week out from the Florida game and Cam isn’t ready to roll. Then there will be some decisions to make.
-Kuithe is still limited.
-Barnes has got himself into the No. 2 discussion because he’s making less mistakes and he knows the offense. He’s been a little bit more consistent than the other two, although he said Rose and Johnson have bright futures and can make some spectacular plays here and there. Still, it’s all about taking care of the football and moving the chains.
-Center is still a battle between Maea, Kump, and Faaiu.
-He’s comfortable with the six primary receivers right now.
