Last hours Apple deal

Has anyone seen the article in the Atlantic about the last hours of the PAC 12 and the tv GOR deal. I tried to read it but it is behind a paywall. Wanting to know if anyone has the details.

Second part of this post and more of a question is if the remaining 4 schools in the PAC fold and go elsewhere what becomes of the PAC 12 networks.

I know overall the network had its flaws like distribution and such but could the assets of that network be something of interest to the Big 12? I know there used to be the LHN for Texas but is there anything currently being used for Big 12 specific media content?

8/8 Whittingham interview notes

-Whittingham said the complete focus is on the Pac-12 for the here and now. For the immediate, the only positive out of the recent conference news is knowing that they have a home for the future.

-He was never really immersed in the conversations. He was locked in and focused on getting the team ready for the season. And then was updated when the time made sense.

-The fallout from the conference stuff this last weekend is not something that is expected to impact the players. They know they have a job to do and that’s the immediate, being, this season and locking in for the Florida game.

-The most development they’ve made has really been across-the-board. They have the majority of the offensive and defensive installs already done.

-The backup quarterback situation currently has not changed, and Whittingham is hoping for more clarity Thursday after their scrimmage, so that he can have a pecking order by this upcoming Monday. That's the best case scenario for the No. 2 quarterback.

-Cam is still the same as he was last week and they are being very careful with the process on ramping him up. Things will get more tenuous if it’s a week out from the Florida game and Cam isn’t ready to roll. Then there will be some decisions to make.

-Kuithe is still limited.

-Barnes has got himself into the No. 2 discussion because he’s making less mistakes and he knows the offense. He’s been a little bit more consistent than the other two, although he said Rose and Johnson have bright futures and can make some spectacular plays here and there. Still, it’s all about taking care of the football and moving the chains.

-Center is still a battle between Maea, Kump, and Faaiu.

-He’s comfortable with the six primary receivers right now.

Freedom Award Follow on

As I had posted here previously, my little 6 person company was selected as a recipient of the 2023 Secretary of Defense Freedom Award. Today I received an email notifying me that my company was selected as the EANGUS 2023 Al Schneider Memorial Award for Employer Excellence.

To win this award is actually very significant as only those selected as a recipient of the annual SECDEF Freedom Award are eligible for consideration. My company was selected above the 14 other recipients of this year's SECDEF Freedom Award Class.

It's very humbling to win an award when you are the smallest organization within a national award base where there were over 1800 other very deserving companies who were nominated for their support of the National Guard and Reserves.

Just thought that I would share it with the rest of y'all here.

If your company has not signed up to be part of the ESGR program, I would highly recommend looking into it.

Introducing a new video/podcast project in partnership with the Crimson Collective

Bryan Brown and I are extremely excited to launch this new project. Below is the intro video. Please check it out, subscribe to the YouTube page for free and pass it along to others to do the same. I’ll fill in everyone more soon. We’ve been given unique access to the players and have already sat down for 1:1 interviews with a ton of the newcomers.
