Ultimately the team's fire, the lack of an offensive line, and even our depth issues all come back to the head coach. In fairness so do all our successes which have been significant. We are the only team ever to win two consecutive Pac-12 South titles even if we laid eggs in both championship games.
This years recruiting class will help in a couple of years. The oline will mature but I am afraid we have the worst of all worlds which is we have a bunch of young players with a relatively low ceiling. We should consider replacing Ford, Daniels, and Simi with guys like Bills, Talavou, LFF, and Laumea. With a year's experience I think they would be better than what we have. We will have to replace Paulo anyway and Umana is a senior so it is unlikely anyone beats him out.
