Despite Holmoe and others in the department wanting HC experience, Ryan Smith is looming large over it. He wants Burgess and likely wouldn’t pay for anyone else. Therefore the writing is on the wall. Despite Holmoe being high on Barret Peery, he likely has not have even been interviewed. Just like I had said before, it has seemed like a no-brainer decision. I completely expect Utah to lose Burgess to BYU as soon as tomorrow.
