The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is set to begin this weekend, marking the 149th edition of one of the longest continuously held sporting events in the country.

Thousands of dogs will compete for the Best in Show title at the annual event. Sage was the top dog last year, becoming the first miniature poodle to claim the title of Best in Show since 2002.

After spending the past two years at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the Westminster Dog Show will head into the heart of New York City. Events will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Madison Square Garden.
