I got bored at work and looked up the tv ratings for college football on Sports Media Watch (https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-ratings/)

Here are my findings. year, (games on national TV): views in millions

2021 So far (3 games): 4.272
2020 (5 games): 6.054
2019 (10 games): 20.26 (South Champs)
2018 (7 games): 11.19 (South Champs)
2017 (10 games): 10.374
2016 (8 games): 10.729
2015 (10 games): 23.024
2014 (8 games): 12.565
2013 (5 games): 3.310
2012 (5 games): 5.50

The Pac 12 championship game was a big draw in 2019, 5.86 million viewers there were playoff implications to spice up the interest. The Alamo bowl was almost as big with 5.61 million. So between those two games Utah got over half of its viewership, too bad they were both losses.

The P12 CG was a much smaller draw in 2018 4.059 million viewers.

Easily our best year was 2015. The year we started off the season with a big win over Michigan and kept the magic alive over the next several weeks. 5 of our games had more than 2 million viewers, two of which had over 3 million, the Las Vegas Bowl vs. BYU and the game against ASU.

It seems like Utah has been a good draw for the PAC 12 after we got our feet under us and started to compete after a rough couple of years.
