I recognize there are several related topics floating around on the board. I was going to hijack the match up thread and then decide to start a new discussion.
I listen to the insidetroy guy Ryan Abraham, on the radio today. He honestly did not sound too optimistic about USC coming into RES and coming out with a win. Interestingly it was his opinion that playing Max Brown gave USC a better chance of winning tomorrow, and the QB change felt like an act of desperation. Of course, as has been discussed, the whole wounded animal argument is the biggest unknown in the match up. I, like many of you, are still recovering from the shell shock of three interceptions to Cameron Smith and the "wounded animal" beating us badly last year when we thought winning in the Coliseum was a real possibility.
I feel like turnovers are going to decide the game. The number of turnovers in the red zone the last two games is the difference in winning by 14+ against BYU and another TD against SJSU.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this game.
