I'll admit it, I just can't quit Utah hoops. So, I'm interested to see Thursday's game. Utah got boat raced twice last week on the road and was clubbed by UCLA in LA.
Will playing in SLC remedy all of that? I hope so. But, I doubt it. The season, to me, has a feel that the wheels are about to come off. Timmy Allen has basically been shut down in conference play, with very low FG% and absurdly high TO's. Much of that is due to an underwhelming supporting cast. Both Gach has struggled mightily during conference play as well.
Jones, Carlson and Jantunen are playing quite well for freshmen. But, it's asking too much of them to be the main contributors this season.
While our defense has been solid, our offense is not good. Low shooting %, high TO's, lack of experience, too many one dimensional players etc. It seems like every game lately we go for very long stretches without scoring.
