Beterbiev (21-0) has held light heavyweight gold since picking up the IBF belt in 2017. Bivol (23-1) held the WBA light heavyweight title since 2016. The former had a 100% knockout-to-win ratio before facing Bivol.

The two faced off in an epic clash in October, with Beterbiev landing earning a majority decision win after pushing forward in the later rounds following Bivol's incredible first-half performance. Bivol had a better connect percentage mark (33.6% to 20.1%).

Bivol was the favorite heading into fight night. He looks to improve his fight plan and produce when it matters most in the rematch. Meanwhile, Beterbiev is ready to continue his reign and prove his value in the division and boxing.

"I don't feel too much pressure. I feel less pressure than before. It feels a] little bit more different, a little bit more calm. I didn't like my performance [last time]," Bivol told DAZN.

"I didn't do enough. I can do more, I know it. I could have been a 100% winner. I want to do it with no doubts.
"There is some good stuff [to take from it]. There is not enough for me to feel good. A little bit [has] changed [in training]. I think only that I have to do my job very well and win this fight."

"I think I'm better now than I was in the first fight," Beterbiev said via Daily Mail. "We've done different things in training that I couldn't do back then… I just want to do my job the best way I can. That's what drives me."
