Everyone,
Someone reached out to me to make sure I was okay, and I wanted to let you all know I'm fine. There was a weird computer issue that locked me out of Rivals for a couple of weeks, and it took Alex talking to like a Yahoo Vice President or something to get my access back. As a result I kind of got off my rhythm for being on the board and then one of my biggest cases got very busy the last few weeks. I'm back if you have any statistical questions. Sorry there's no article about BYU this week. Just know, they're statistically doing very well with a top 50 total offense (#49), which is statistically EXACTLY as good at passing (241 yards; #59) and rushing (169 yards; #59). They're turning those yards into points (35.1, #24) and are playing good defense (#38 in total; #25 passing; #24 scoring). They are JUST barely below average at rushing defense (147 ypg; #68). They're also #16 in turnover margin, forcing 18 and only giving up 11.
For Utah to win they'll need to run the ball, not turn the ball over, and force some turnovers. Utah's defense is better than BYU's, but Utah's offense to date has not performed anywhere close to BYU's offense.
My heart says 17-10 Utah. My head says 24-13 BYU.
