Utes have four scheduled appearances on ESPN networks
SAN FRANCISCO—Game times and television for the first three weeks of the 2018 Pac-12 football season, as well as all Thursday and Friday home games and select non-conference road games, were announced today by the Pac-12 Conference. Utah learned its times and TV for five games. All remaining start times and television selections will be made 12 or six days in advance of the game.
The Utes will kick off the season for the Pac-12 on Thursday, Aug. 30 with a home game against Weber State at 6 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Networks. The ESPN family of networks has announced it will air another four Utah games, starting with the Utah-Northern Illinois game in DeKalb, Ill., on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. CT (5:30 MT) on ESPNews.
The Utes are also guaranteed at least three appearances on ESPN with today’s announcement. Utah’s home game with Washington on Saturday, Sept. 15 starts at 8 p.m. MT and both Friday games are also late-night ESPN affairs: Oct. 12 vs. Arizona in Rice-Eccles Stadium at 8 p.m. MT and Oct. 26 at UCLA at 7:30 p.m. PT (8:30 MT).
Conference partners ESPN, FOX Sports, and Pac-12 Networks will team up to televise every game played at Pac-12 schools. Pac-12 Networks will air 34 home games, while ESPN and FOX Sports will combine to televise 44 games from Pac-12 home and neutral sites. In addition, FOX will televise the Pac-12 Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. PT.
