There has been discussion all week about getting people in their seats 20 minutes early. I think a big reason people don’t get there early is because of lack of traditions before kickoff. I have an idea that I want everyone's thoughts on before I email Mark Harlan about it. Back in the 80's Utah had the "Ute Warrior" that would come out on horse back with a spear, similar to Florida State. I understand that is never going to happen the same way. But what if there was a spin to it, what if an honorary member of the Ute Tribe (possibly current Utah student) led the team out on horse back? No spear into the ground, just leading the team out with a Ute Proud flag. I think it would definitely get the crowd going, and would become a unique tradition, while in my opinion, honor the Ute Tribe every game. It would be someone new each game, boy or girl. Thoughts?
