  • Main event start time (approx.): 3 p.m. AEDT

Benavidez (29-0) is a two-time WBC super middleweight champion. After winning interim gold, he moved to light heavyweight after it was realized he wouldn’t fight Canelo Alvarez for unified gold. The 28-year-old beat Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the interim WBC belt, immediately establishing himself as a threat in the division.

Morrell (11-0) has held the WBA (Regular) super middleweight title and currently holds the WBA (Regular) light heavyweight belt. The two-time amateur gold medalist passed his first test at 175, beating Radivoje Kalajdzic via unanimous decision.

Both fighters are relatively new to the light heavyweight division. One year younger than Benavidez, Morrell competes in his most challenging task to date. He is ready to show the world who he is when he enters the ring on Sunday.

"This is the moment I’ve been waiting for, it’s the fight that changes everything," said Morrell. "A win over Benavidez doesn’t just put me at the top – it solidifies me as one of the best fighters in the world. After this fight, there will be no question who the king of the division is. I’m ready to take that crown."fddfhjhkh
