I watched the USC/Arizona game and the announcers were just dismayed at the refs. They were practically mocking the number of penalties. Several plays there were multiple fouls called. USC ended up with 18 penalties for 169 yards. So much for the favoritism theory. Whatever the league is doing is not working. The refs call the game like they've read a manual but have never watched an actual game. The PAC-12 should fire them all and offer referee crews from the Big Ten and SEC twice the money they're being paid there. It would be worth it.
