i probably shouldn't be, but I'm surprised at how many BYU and USU people are gleefully spouting off about how much the PAC 12 is struggling in the tournament so far. Most of these seem to think it reflects on Utah's performance in some way. Last I checked, Utah won their game, right? BYU and USU aren't in the tournament, either, so I'm not sure why these people feel like they have any ground to stand on...
Don't get me wrong, during the regular season, I cheer for other PAC 12 teams to do well because that tends to give Utah a boost in rankings and RPI so long as Utah is winning, too. But when the tournament rolls around, I couldn't care less about other conference teams' success. All I care about is how far Utah makes it. As far as I'm concerned, other teams crapping the bed in the first round just means that Utah becomes all the more desirable for recruits who are considering multiple PAC 12 schools.
