This is Edwards' first fight back since losing his welterweight belt to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304 last July. Edwards hadn’t lost his previous 13 fights before Muhammad’s unanimous decision win. Edwards successfully defended his title twice, beating Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.
Brady’s only professional loss came against Muhammad in October 2022. He’s fought twice since then, submitting Kelvin Gastelum and beating Gilbert Burns by unanimous decision.
UFC events in the United Kingdom have been a smashing success over the past few years. The lone current champion from England is heavyweight Tom Aspinall, though he’s only an interim champion. They still have household names and plenty of beloved fighters, Edwards being chief among them. Only three of the 14 matches don’t include a fighter from the United Kingdom. Women’s strawweight Molly McCann and lightweight Jordan Vucenic are the other English fighters on Saturday’s main card.
