So, the Utah coaching tree is flourishing we have former Utes and Ute coaches all over the country. Jay Hill at Weber, Gary Anderson and USU, Kalani at BYU, one of our current coordinators, etc. Utah is also a job that I am sure a lot of coaches would love to come in to when Whit leaves, someone like Matt Wells at TT or Ken N. at Navy. I am sure that there are a number of them who have their eyes on Utah after Whit retires. Which one do you think Utah would go with? Which one would you want?
For my part, assuming Utah remains on the trajectory it is on right now, Utah will be a program were a new head coach could come in and win right away. I would love to see a proven winner come in and take the program to the next level. If Jay Hill has moved on to an FBS job and won consistently there I would call him up first. Hill has done incredible things with Weber State and I think he could win big at Utah if given the chance.
