I am working on piece about Lewis Powell and thought I'd share this quote that won't make the article. I asked him if his thoughts on if Pita can become an every down player or if he will still only be a pass rusher. This was his response:

"He’s ready. I think he’s matured a lot. Physically he is almost 250 lbs, I think this time last year he was 233. At 250 he’s able to set the edge and not only that I think he’s faster than last year. He’s violent with his hands and his get off. It’s gonna be crazy to see if he can play every single down. Having him and the other ends, with Hunter and Kylie Fitts, it’s a luxury to have those guys out there. We probably won’t have to blitz that often, just send those guys out to get the quarterback and it would be easy for Morgan to call the game."

Both Sitake and Pease told me that if they could get Pita to be an every down guy he would be extremely dangerous. I hope we get to witness that this year.
