I thought about making this a poll question but had a hard time coming up with the best candidates. My vote goes to JT. He has been nothing but solid and consistent at nickel. I can't tell you how many times I have heard discussions on the radio and elsewhere, talking about our defensive backfield where there was literally no mention of Thomas and yet one could argue that he is out best cover guy. Sometimes I will focus on him specifically and his coverage is just so tight the receiver has to feel like he's right inside his jersey. Hard to make a catch that way and the pass better be right on the money or it's going to be incomplete. There are a ton of stars on this defense, and deservedly so, but I think Thomas may contribute the most with the least fanfare of anyone on that side of the ball.
