INSTANT REACTION: Runnin’ Utes have great 1st half and a blah 2nd half

The basketball team played liked the football team tonight with a great first half followed by a second half did. Six guys were in double figures, including all five started and Larsson—who is competing with Plummer for the best player, so far.

Most of the guys either seemed disinterested in the second half or tired, especially Timmy Allen.

Larsson had an efficient night with 14 points on 5-6 shooting and 3-4 from the line, plus three assists. Most importantly, his back-to-back-to-back buckets, gave Utah life, when they were struggling to start the second half.

21 assists on 28 made shots, I believe that’s the exact same as the last game.

Nice to see the extended range from both Jantunen and Carlson.

Let’s hope the guys show more energy against BYU—and play two halves like their first half tonight—or Pope’s squad will have bragging rights for the next year.
