This was a tough fought game from the opening tip. The Utes had a poor shooting night from long range and some troubles from the free throw line was well.

Allen finished with 19 points despite going 5 for 14 from the field. Both Gach led the way with 24 points, and Mikel Jantunen chipped in 10 from the bench.

The Utes were 9-30 from three point range and just 13-20 from the line. While the final box score shows the rebounding battle being pretty even, late offensive rebounds by Oregon keep Utah from making a late push.

It's a tough loss, but this team hung step for step with the great in the conference and there's a lot of positives to take away. The Utes never flinched, even when they went down double digits late in the second half.
