We are currently six years into waiting for another NCAA appearance and it really sucks. Gets harder to watch the tournament every year. Frustration.
It looks like it will be a while before Utah can actually recruit/sign a top 250 player. Yes Smith was late to the party recruiting wise but they struck out on the six ranked players they went after.
Randy Bennett’s not one of my favorite coaches but he deserves credit for the program he has built. The current Saint Mary’s roster has eight (8) players from outside the US.
With Lazar Stefanovic already on the roster, maybe that’s the way to go for Utah. If it takes a core group of players from outside the country to get us back to the tournament - I’m all for it.
