I like this move. Gavin assisted under Lynn for 12 years - 2 years at Pacific and 10 at Utah. He knows the system, he knows the girls and the history, and the incoming recruits know him.

He said that the system will be pretty much the same as it was under Lynn with just a few minor changes. He also said that he has reached out to the 2025 recruits and they are all on board. I think he will do a good job and will continue a winning culture at Utah. He has a wife and two kids and loves it here so he would probably be happy being here for a long time if he keeps winning.

Gavin also noted that Lynn included him in all parts of the operation and allowed him to be very "hands on" in the program which has prepared him for this moment. In the practices that I have watched, he was very involved. I wish him the best and look forward to tonight's game which will be the beginning of his legacy. Go Lady Utes!!
