Hey Guys,

Trying to figure out the laws on beer and such for tailgating at football games. I will be coming to Salt Lake for the CU vs. Utah game so I want to know what the beer/tailgating rules are there.

Also, how is the stadium for visiting fans?

There are no rules about drinking in the tailgate lots. As long as you aren't creating a disturbance (being a drunk idiot) you can cart in whatever you would like to eat and drink.

The main tailgate lot is on Guardsman Way which is just south of the football stadium. The spots are designated and it gets packed so just plan on bringing up a twelve pack or your mixed drink of choice. Walk around and enjoy the scene. There will be many Ute fans that will offer you food and a beer. Also, don't mind the occasional trash talker. They are morons. Every fan base has them and Utah is no exception. There will be merchandise for sale, but no alcohol is sold so definitely bring it in.

You can also tailgate in any of the parking lots on campus. However, some of them have restricted parking. There will be attendants to let you know if you are in the wrong place.

Have a great time. Go Utes

No alcohol in the stadium though.. get caught get tossed. Also there is no re-entry either. So no leaving at halftime to refill the tank.
