First of all. This kid has horrible handlers. Apparently wasn’t a steal for the ASU job now transferring again back to SEC. In spite of injuries, He ll transfer again next year I bet. I d say that 13 million or whatever was being demanded by his crew from Florida was way out of bounds. Let the kid play without the pressure. Pretty poor start for a prospect to be in the news for not great reasons.

I am sure he has. I have been a huge Dave Rice fan many years. He struggled at times but UNLV thought they were bigger and they've sucked since he left. They finally looked average this year. Dude is a hell of a recruiter and will maintain SLCC in a top tier position and get those kids to a four year school. May not be bad to keep him a wink wink also when the curtains come down again at the hunty and Smith seat gets too hot to sit on.

Utah assistant DeMarlo Slocum’s camp has confirmed with me that he’s accepting a position with the University of Washington. Some might say that he didn’t do as well from a recruiting standpoint this time around, but he has been extremely crucial, getting in doors of players, especially from the transfer portal. If Washington has a solid NIL in place, Slocum will excel their recruiting.

I texted a buddy who coached against Fitzgerald when he was in high school and he's what he said:

"Absolute stud! He was one of only two players I've ever coached against in this area [Idaho Falls, ID] that I had to change my offensive scheme at halftime because of them. I had to send a second blocker at him on every pass play, and we had to run away from him on every run play. He would line up in a wide 9 technique and we had no answer for him. We won the game but him and Tao Johnson combined caused a lot of problems for us."

The gymnastics team advanced out of the Elite eight to make the final. Another great accomplishment. Oklahoma is also out leaving the door open for anyone to win.

Fitzgerald is an interesting pick up that might not see much time right off the bat.

You talk continues to load up their wide receiver room with a big target, Damien Alford. He had 610 yards last year averaging 18.5 yards per reception and three touchdowns. This room is starting to get extremely dangerous and I like it.

Uh, can someone correct me, but it seems Kevin Young’s credentials are eerily similar to that of Jim Boylen. Widely respected assistant in the NBA. High marks across the board. This could get interesting. Y fans acting like Dean Smith came back to life in Provo. Jury is out.

This is from the same source that was rock solid on the Kevin Young news when it sounded initially crazy… As mentioned, BYU is in heavy pursuit. He’s saying it’s doubtful that Burgess leaves for BYU. Money talks, so it’ll be interesting to see if Utah gives Burgess a substantial raise.

I’m waiting on the full details, so I hope to have more soon. It’s not one many if any would think of.

I believe he was going to flip to Utah post mission but can’t blame him for wanting to go to Kentucky.

In short, I don’t think so. Money will talk and I’m told BYU wants to double his salary and give him the HC-in-waiting title. Utah is “home” to Burgess, it’s his dream job. While he’s all-in for the man that’s over him currently, he also knows how close he is to being THE GUY and getting his dream job. I expect the Utah boosters to pay the freight, but he should be getting a sizable pay raise.

It’s really unfortunate that he had that knee injury as a freshman.
