Utah vs. Washington State
7:00 pm MST at the JMHC - Salt Lake City, Utah
Line: Utah -19
Utah is coming off the biggest loss of their season and looking to redeem themselves tonight in the JMHC in front of a "white out" crowd. Wazzu is coming off a loss to Oregon State (62-47) where the Beavers were able to force them to the perimeter and make them take bad shots. Utah will use a similar game plan tonight. Wazzu does like to get up and down the floor and if they are able to do that tonight they could keep it close. But let's be honest, with a -19 spread, this game should be a barn burner.
Davonte Lacy is a special talent who was on the PAC 12 team that visited China over the Summer with Coach K, JLove and Taylor. He averages 17.4 PPG. Josh Hawkinson is another talented player on the roster. A 6'10 sophomore, he is averaging 15.4 PPG and 11 RBG so far this season. Outside of these two guys, Wazzu only goes about 6 deep and will have trouble handling Utah's depth. Their RPI (122) is good for the 3rd worst in the conference. Trailing only ASU (138) and USC (136) teams Utah had no trouble dealing with this season.
