The Hot List
This list is in no particular order...

Daniel Heimuli, LB
The four-star Heimuli has the Utes listed in his final top 5, along with Alabama, Oregon, USC and Washington. Heimuli was expecting to officially visit Salt Lake City during the Oregon game, but the California fires forced him to postpone his visit. As a linebacker, Heimuli could immediately jump into the fold with Chase Hansen and Cody Barton graduating. However, until he visits, Washington and Alabama should be considered the front-runners for Heimuli. He’ll be signing in February.

Quandre Mosely, S
The Utes are graduating both of their starting safeties in Marquise Blair and Corrion Ballard. To offset that attrition at the safety position, Utah is hopeful to land junior college product Quandre Mosely from Eastern Arizona CC. Mosely has been mostly under the radar thus far, but recently tripped Kentucky and Oregon. The Utes still expect to land Mosely, and 100% of his FutureCast predictions have him going to Utah.

Siaki Ika, DT
Siaki Ika is the no. 121 ranked prospect and no. 5 ranked defensive tackle in this class. The East HS product is physically imposing at 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, and has torn high school offensive lines to shreds this season. Ika has been one to enjoy the “bright lights” of recruiting, and is also considering the likes of Alabama, LSU, Florida, Oregon and USC. It was initially expected that the SEC might be out of the picture due to their course requirements, but Ika enrolled in an online math class. Ika is expected to sign in the early signing period.

Puka Nacua, WR
The younger brother of Samson, Puka leads the entire country in receiving. Puka has been committed to USC for quite some time now, but the Utes have never been out of the picture. Our sources believe he’s been weighing the possibility of flipping to Utah for quite a while. The success for Samson, as well as the Utes this season, has been giving Puka plenty of reason to flip. USC hiring Kliff Kingsbury changes the dynamic, but we likely won’t know until February if he joins his brother at the U.

Lolani Langi, LB
Lolani Langi has been considered a strong Utah lean for quite some time now—the Utah coaches are hopeful that he joins teammate and Utah commit Junior Tafuna, as well as Bingham teammate and Ute lean Simote Pepa. Throughout the recruiting rankings Rivals sifts through, Langi has fluctuated as a low four-star and high three-star. The FutureCasts all favor the hometown Utes in this battle. However, due to Utah losing Gary Andersen and Justin Ena--it’s giving him more to think about, although Utah will be tough to be--he won’t sign his LOI until February.

Simote Pepa, DT
Ika may get the national love, but depending on who you talk to locally, plenty say that Pepa is the better prospect--it’s really that close. He’ll serve an LDS mission before enrolling. Nebraska could be one to keep an eye on, but Pepa has gone on record with ussaying that it’s going to take a lot for him to not be a Ute.

Seth Coleman, DE
A two-star defensive end from Melbourne, Florida, Coleman is verbally committed to Illinois. Coleman isn’t your typical two-star, boasting 22 offers from the likes of Baylor, Nebraska, TCU, Virginia, and Utah. He’s a high risk-high reward type of prospect, but the Utah coaching staff believes Coleman can make an impact on the defensive line. He visited Utah this past weekend. This one is down to Utah and the Illini, for Wednesday.

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB
A three-star running back out of Cerritos Community College in Los Angeles, Stevenson’s stock has climbed this fall. Utah’s biggest competition is Kansas State, Oklahoma and Texas. On the field, don’t mistake his 6-foot-1, 230 frame as just a bruiser—Stevenson is just as capable of blocking and catching out of the backfield as he is to run it up the heart of the defense. He was initially going to visit for the BYU game, but look for the trip to take place in January.

Enokk Vimahi, OL
As the no. 17 ranked offensive tackle in the class of 2019, the four-star Vimahi is one of the most highly-coveted prospects left on the board. Vimahi is the younger brother of 2017 Utah signee Aliki Vimahi, who is expected back on campus this fall. When Enokk first released his final “top list,” Utah didn’t make the cut. However, the Utes are now back in the picture and could be considered the frontrunners… recruiting, right? Notre Dame and USC are also in the picture. Vimahi will first serve an LDS mission and he’s a February signee.
