Welcome to a new addition our Ute Nation recruiting chat, as signing day draws near, we’re breaking down the class and looking to give you guys a clear picture.

A few quick things:

2017 cornerback signee, Tareke Lewis, is still slated to join the team. He tells us that he should have his grade posted around February 8th.

2017 wide receiver signee, Derrick Vickers, has gotten himself on a much better path in the classroom. While he says on Twitter that he’s cleared to go, that’s not the case, but it is all of the sudden, still a possibility.

At least one intra-conference graduate transfer has shown interest in the Utes. We’ll have more when the time is right.


Numbers Breakdown—

With the transfers of Raelon Singleton and Casey Hughes recently going down, the easy assumption is that this creates two more spots. That’s actually inaccurate. The Utes have to stick to the rule of 25 initials. So, what does this look like:
