We're roughly an hour until kickoff (unless this endless Oklahoma State-TCU game delays it) and the Utes face another tough test on the road. This is a game that Utah should win, but a lot will depend on which Utah team decides to show up. They haven't been very sharp for two weeks in a row, and that trend needs to end if this team wants to accomplish everything it aspires to.
Injuries are starting to pile up for Utah, which won't help the cause. Matt Piper reported that Filipo Mokofisi and Hunter Dimick didn't make the trip. That hurts. However, D line is Utah's deepest position group, so if there's an area that can weather injuries, it's that. Siaosi Aiono may be out as well, which hurts the O line.
The bottom line for this game will be turnovers. If the Utes win the turnover margin, they'll win the game. They can't give Washington extra field position or possessions. Travis Wilson is the other X factor. If he can stay within himself, stay accurate, make the defense respect his running ability, and not turn the ball over, Utah will win this going away. Look for Utah to get Ken Scott involved early as well.
The Pac-12 south is riding on the next three games. If Utah can win this one, I think they'll win out. But they need to take care of business right now.
