Love what Shelley’s doing! Hate the impact that might have on QB recruiting, and not just this year. Having a young proven backup QB might be the single worst deterrent to recruiting a new guy.
What is the current gestalt on Jayden Daniels? I’m at a place where I don’t really care if he comes, but am sick at the idea of ASU getting him.
And I think everyone is wishfully joking about Wilson transferring, but remember when offhanded comments were aplenty about Cooper Bateman? If we don’t get Daniels, I think there is a real non-zero chance of getting Wilson. Redshirt year 2019 at SLCC, AA degree and immediate eligibility as a RS-So behind/alongside RS-JR Shelley in 2020. Our QB recruiting is going to suck with a proven RS-Fr, so he’s basically guaranteed a backup spot in 2020-2021. Starter by 2022.
