-Barnes best out Ja’Quinden due to a better body of work throughout fall camp. Barnes had a better grasp of the system and he made fewer mistakes in camp.

-Whittingham expects Utah to have their hands full with Florida QB Anthony Richardson, despite his limited body of work. He reportedly has 4.3 speed. He can also make every throw.

-They’ve done everything they can to replicate the conditions they’ll face at The Swamp, from temperatures to crowd noise. He mentioned how the crowd is right on top of you, there.

-The RB depth chart full of “OR” because they’re all talented and Whittingham claims the opponent will dictate who they go with each week. Tavion is most likely to get the majority of the carries. Micah is an exceptional athlete, and a weapon in the passing game.

-Whittingham says no defense for Micah… haha

-All coordinators came over to Florida with Napier, so the schemes should be relatively similar to how it was at Louisiana.

-The Utes had very little live work in fall camp, due to so many returners—similar to how they approached fall camp in 2019.
-Vele won the punt return job because he’s surehanded and also moves well in space. Bernard won the kick return job because he’s a fast and explosive athlete. There’s no denying that replacing Covey in these roles won’t be easy.

-Cam is the leader of all leaders, but defensively, it’ll be more of a leadership by committee approach.

-Utah wont have different game plans depending on the weather. They’ll just adjust to do well they do well, based on the situations.

-Nate Johnson has been the scout team QB, mimicking Richardson.

-Napier is very schematically innovative on offense.

-The Gators’ receiver are all big. Whittingham says, he can’t say which Florida position group is more talented than others.

-The key for Utah’s offense this season is, more explosive plays.

-The OL has really gelled. They need them to be a cohesive and high-function group from the get-go.

-Whittingham has really leaned on former Gator and now Ute, Mohamoud Diabate for some scouting reports.

-Tafuna and Fillinger are the leaders of the defensive line. Tennessee Pututau, Jonah Elliss, and Connor O’Toole all had outstanding camps.
