-They have a long way to go, but he likes where they’re at 11 days in.

-RT and center are the only two OL positions still at stake… (Alex’s take: In reality, RT is Kump’s if he’s healthy and the rust is off. At center, I just don’t see it NOT being Maile)

-The no. 2 QB will absolutely be one of Ja’Quinden or Barnes. They just need more reps to decide it. They’ll have an answer coming out of the next scrimmage on Saturday.

-They have a lot of confidence in Barnes, but Ja’Quinden is one of the most improved players on the team, from spring ball to now.

-Guys Whittingham highlighted for the scrimmage: Satoa Laumea, Mohamoud Diabate, Cole Bishop, Money Parks. Parks is one of the brightest stars in all of camp.

-Whittingham says they probably won’t put out a depth chart publicly before the Florida game. He says there’s no reason to announce it to everyone.

-Whittingham mentioned six guys are in the mix at linebacker (However, he only mentioned: Diabate, Reid, Barton, and Medlock)

-Gabe Reid has had some nagging injuries holding him back. When he’s practiced, he’s impressed.

-Miki Suguturaga was mentioned as a real bright spot in fall camp for the defense.

-Whittingham doesn’t care about the rankings. Said he’s still of the opinion that you shouldn’t have rankings until a month into the season.

-For the potential punt returner, Whittingham mentioned Vele, Dixon, Parks, and Phillips. He didn’t mention Kuithe.

-Whittingham was highly complimentary of Bernard’s route running.

-Tavion had a great scrimmage and Whittingham was happy with all of the backs.

-Rising has the entire offense completely down. The chemistry between him and the pass catchers is evident. It’s a huge benefit for the team.
