Brazil are currently fourth in the FIFA World Cup 2026 CONMEBOL region qualifying standings with 13 points after four wins, four losses and a draw after nine rounds.

Peru, on the other hand, have won only once, drawn thrice and lost five games, totaling six points and they lie in ninth spot in the 10-team table.

CONMEBOL, also known as the South American Football Confederation, has a total of 10 teams with each team playing two matches, at home and away, against all the other sides.

The top-six teams after 18 rounds of matches will directly qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 which will be jointly hosted by the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. The team placed seventh will proceed to play in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.

Five-time World Champions Brazil had topped the last two editions of the FIFA World Qualifiers in the CONMEBOL region. Brazil are currently ranked fifth in the FIFA World Rankings whereas Peru are in the 43rd spot as per the latest rankings list.sadsadsad
