Since laying an egg at Pauley, the Utes now look to rebound against the PAC 12's last place team, USC. The Trojans are 1-7 in conference and 9-11 overall on the season entering today's matchup. They're coming off a thrilling triple OT loss against Colorado, 98-94 in which Katin Reinhardt went off for a career high, 35 points and Nikola Jovanovic added 30. It wasn't enough to overcome Askia Bookers 43 points though and the Buffs advanced to 11-9. Colorado lead by as many as 11 points in the second half before the Trojans battled back to take it to 3 OTs in front of about 3,600 fans at Galen Center.

Utah's top two scorers (Delon Wright and Brandon Taylor) accounted for 49.1 percent of the points. The top two rebounders (Delon Wright and Brekkott Chapman) accounted for 40.7 percent of the rebounds against UCLA. Brandon Taylor has had six straight double digit games for the Utes.

Utes are going to need some perimeter help from Jordan Loveridge and co. today. Also, Poeltl and the the frontcourt will have their hands full with Jovanovic, so let's hope they are ready to go today. I expect the Utes to roll but if they show up at Galen like they did last week at Pauley, then they'll obviously be in trouble. USC is not nearly as talented as UCLA but they have a few players that can go off. At home, Utah's depth has masked their deficiencies. On the road that has been an entirely different story (after last game) Utah isn't a team like Colorado, meaning they won't stop defending and just feed the ball to one player and let him keep shooting and shooting. Utah needs to get solid contributions from their usual crop of 8-10 players to shake this So Cal road funk.

Post your thoughts, concerns and observations in here and we'll keep the party rolling throughout the day.
