Veronika Mayerhofer won the NCAA title in the women's 5-km freestyle race on Wednesday morning to open the NCAA Championships. The U...tes had the top women's Nordic team of the day with Sloan Storey finishing fifth and Anna-Lena Heynen placing ninth. All three skiers earned All-America honors, along with Niklas Persson, who finished 10th in the men's race. Utah is second after day one. Go Utes!
