I'm not sure our recruiting class is conclusive evidence that the coaching situation didn't hurt. I believe it did. I don't believe there is evidence that the sky is falling either. Answers are usually somewhere in the middle.
A couple of other thoughts
We can recruit lineman. We've always seemed to do well with big guys. I still wonder why we want to line up in spread with 3 wrs when that seems to be a tough position for us to recruit. Why not go to a more traditional look where we only have to play 2 wrs?
It is great that we have been able to close with some momentum. I think it's crucial that we hold onto Wilson. Hawkins would change my opinion of the class since he is the type of guy that we have always struggled to get, but really need. I still think we need to upgrade talent at the skill position.
