I ran across this article published back in 2005 challenging the decision to cut Men's Track & Field. Excellent points all around, all of which are even more relevant today than they were back then. Most notably Dr. Hill cited financial concerns, when in fact T&F is among the least financially burdensome of all collegiate sports. IMO this reasoning made very little sense in the MWC era, and makes absolutely none today.
Interested in hearing people's opinions and insight on this. What is the real reason Men's T&F was cut, and what are the prospects of it returning (and when)?
