TANI LEHA'ULI Question

For all you Utah pundits, what is the back story on Tani LEHA'ULI? From my understanding, Tani played fairly well in spring 2015 and then he was off the team for fall 2015. According the 2015 fall roster, he wasn't part of team. Now I see him back on the 2016 spring roster and he had decent spring game last Thursday.
