We're going heavy on the hoops updates tonight, guys! I just spoke with Warren Washington, a 6'9", 190 pound power forward out of Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, CA. In case anyone was wondering, yes that's the same high school that Jack Tuttle attends, and Warren says they've known each other since 5th grade, and that Jack has been talking to him about Utah as well.

Warren has been hearing a lot from Utah, Cal, Butler, Purdue, Clemson, and Gonzaga, but doesn't have any favorites just yet, and says that he's treating all the schools equally for the moment.

Coach Hill has been spearheading Warren's recruitment, but Coach K is in contact with him frequently as well. Utah was one of the first schools to reach out to Warren, so he has a very solid relationship built up with Coach Hill, and praised both him and Larry as being "great, great coaches."

Warren said he's looking for a school with a great fan base, good academics, and a team that has a winning mentality above all. Warren said that he feels like Utah checks those boxes, and he enjoyed his visit to Salt Lake City last season.

Warren wants to play in the NBA and said that Utah has done a good job these last few seasons with getting guys ready for the league, and that's something that he'll consider when making a decision, which he said would come no later than November.

As always, more coming soon...
