I just spoke with Falslev, who committed to Utah yesterday. He's still very excited about his commitment and said that he decided to commit to Utah because he wanted to play basketball at the highest level possible, and that they checked all the boxes for him. Mason mentioned that the coaches haven't explicitly said whether he would play point or shooting guard at Utah, but that he prefers to play point, and feels like that would be the position he's best suited to play at the next level.
Falslev is a two sport recruit, and also holds offers from several schools for football, but said that basketball has always been his first passion. He feels that he would be able to focus better on basketball at the next level and achieve a higher ceiling.
Falslev has also received offers from USU and BYU, and Stanford has been showing interest.
More to come soon...
