That was short lived and without impact. As expected. If the PAC and ACC want to keep up and avoid being picked apart by the B1G and SEC they need to make some hard decisions.

If I were the czar of CFB it would look like this:

B1G and Friends:
B1G East: as is
B1G West: as is
Atlantic: Pitt, UVA, VT, UNC, Duke, NCState, Clemson, GT, FSU, Miami.
Pacific: UW, UO, Cal, Stanford, USC, UCLA, AZ, ASU, UU, CU.
Independent affiliate: ND

SEC and Friends:
SEC East: as is.
SEC West: as is.
East: Syracuse, BC, WF, Louisville, Cincinnati, WVU, UCF, TCU, Baylor, Hou.
West: SDSU, OrSU, WSU, BYU, CSU, KU, KSU, ISU, OKSU, TTU.

B1G, Atlantic, and Pacific each have their own media deals for the regular season but a shared deal for the postseason. Same for the SEC and their friends. Postseason revenue is pooled but not shared equally (like SEC would get the bulk of that post-season revenue).
PostSeason:
CCG Week:
- B1G East vs Atlantic at Orange Bowl.
- B1G West vs Pacific at Fiesta Bowl.
- SEC East vs East at Liberty Bowl.
- SEC West vs West at Alamo Bowl.
Major Bowls:
- B1G and Friends championship @ Rose Bowl.
- B1G and Friends at large @ Las Vegas Bowl.
- SEC and Friends championship @ Sugar Bowl.
- SEC and Friends at large @ Cotton Bowl.

Championship game:
#1 vs #2 by selection. Small chance that an at-large winner could displace a poor resume champion rising through the CCG path. Plausible path for a team not in this structure to make championship game to prevent legal challenges. No additional games to season. 71 total teams (adding SDSU and CSU t).

2021 Postseason would likely have been:
CCG Week
Michigan vs Pitt
Iowa vs Utah
Georgia vs Cincinnati
Oklahoma State vs Alabama

Major Bowls:
Rose: Iowa/Utah vs Michigan/Pitt
Vegas: OSU vs ND
Sugar: Bama/OKSU vs UGA/Cinci
Cotton: Miss vs Baylor

Championship
Rose OR Vegas winner vs Sugar OR Cotton winner.

A Rose win by Utah or Iowa would have put the Vegas winner in, while the Sugar winner would likely have had a guaranteed spot.

Summary
Olympic sport structure: 6 conferences.
B1G, SEC, Atlantic (ACC), Pacific (PAC), East (ACC remnants/BigXII), West (PAC remnants/BigXII).

Regular Season media structure: same as conferences above, although Atlantic/Pacific as well as East/West conferences could each benefit from pooling and jointly negotiating carriage. But no required scheduling alliances.

Post-season playoff structure: 2 leagues each with 4 divisions.
- B1G&F: Pacific, B1G-W, B1G-E, Atlantic.
- SEC&F: West, SEC-W, SEC-E, East.
Post-season media structure with guesstimated revenue sharing:
B1G&F: B1G 40%, Pac 29%, Atl 29%, ND 2%.
SEC&F: SEC 60%, West 20%, East 20%.
