In your opinion the top however many college football PROGRAMS.
NOT CURRENT OR LAST SEASON'S TEAMS!
Use whatever criteria you like, but try to rank each program over the last 10+ years, this is a big picture opinion survey.

There are 40 teams listed which should be most of the teams who have finished in the top-2 of a AQ conference at least three times over the last 13 years (the BCS era) or been a BCS Bowl participant.
From this group please try to pick your top 20 programs.

The teams are now in order loosely based on their current ranking.

PLEASE NOTE: any obviously wacko rankings will be thrown out. If you put a team at #1 that is no way no how the #1 program in the land, your response will be deleted.
Also, no blatant rival hating.
Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, and ETC Fans: As much as you may not like to admit it, your sworn rival probably deserves to be somewhere in your top 20.

If you aren’t going to take this survey seriously you can always close this window now and save us both some time...

Thanks to everyone else for participating.

Rank your TOP 20 Programs

Pretty short period of time to measure this thing really. Not sure why people consistently rank Ohio State ahead of USC in any measure, Oklahoma is debatable as is Texas.

Facts...

Mythical Titles in last 40 years

Ohio State....2 (1968, 2002)
Texas.........3 (1969, 1970, 2005)
Oklahoma......4 (1974, 1975, 1985, 2000)
USC...........7 (1962, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1978, 2003, 2004)

Before you lamblast about the 2004 season, AP still recognizes despite the NCAA's rogue attempt to rewrite history & bend timelines. Oklahoma was on probation the year USC split with them in 1974.

Then consider what the won-loss record of USC is vs. these programs

USC vs.

Ohio St 13-9-1 (Won last 7 meetings)
Texas 4-1 (Give it up to them winning last one)
Oklahoma 6-2-1 (Counting the baloney the NCAA is pulling on Orange Bowl, USC won the 4 meetings prior to that)

Other than pure bias or lack of knowledge HOW would any of these programs be ranked above USC during the time frame mentioned, the last 50 years, or All Time? Incidentally Michigan falls into the same category, they have one victory over USC in Football since 1948. Same amount as National Titles since then..

Yet people try to rank them above. Don't know about Top 100, but your Top 5 All Time are probably.

1)Bama
2)ND
3)USC
4)Oklahoma
5)Michigan

After that start filling in (Ohio St, Nebraska, Miami, and Penn St)...

Then start looking at (LSU, Florida State to round out a Top 10, plus a tie)...

Top 5 I think are pretty rock solid at the top.

Well it looks like you are going to have to really start Cheating, if you want to keep up. The worst program in C.F.B. has nothing to say about fOOTBALL. Fight On !!!!! P.S. You are an embarrasment to the Pac-12.
