Had a terrific conversation with rivals three-star wide receiver Michael Jackson III out of Desert Pines HS (Nev.) which has numerous recruits headed to the power 5 level year in and year out. Jackson has a tremendously smart head on his shoulders and really sees the big picture not just with football, but his academics and future as well. He checks in at 6-foot, 200 pounds and provides a solid amount amount of explosiveness, speed, as well as dynamic ability to the receiver position. I have seen Jackson in person twice, once at a 7 on 7 tournament and another at the elite 11 regional camp in Los Angeles where he was a standout receiver in drills. In my opinion, Jackson is a four-star guy with his dynamic playmaking ability and to be a threat not only in the slot, but on the numbers as well.
Jackson's recruitment with Utah is surely headed in the right direction as he has the Utes in the top 11 of his recruitment. He currently holds 28 offers from some high major programs, rightfully so with his skill set. Jackson has visited Salt Lake City numerous times and has a great relationship with head coach Whittingham and wide receivers Coach Holliday. The Utes are in a good position here in his recruitment and expect it to be a battle with another Pac-12 school when its all said and done.
