Just caught up with Jashua Allen, a linebacker originating from Oregon. He has three offers right now, but they're all impressive--Utah (first to offer), Colorado and FAU. Allen said that he is honored to have two Pac-12 offers as well as an offer from Lane Kiffin, although FAU has shown the least amount of interest so far. A mountain summer trip is in the works, as he'll try to unofficially visit both Colorado and Utah before the season starts.

Utah was the first to offer and also the one showing the most interest. He said that he talks with Justin Ena the most and is someone that believes in his skills on the gridiron. Allen said that Ena likes him on the outside, inside or middle, doesn't matter--he sees the potential for a great Utah linebacker. Allen credits his defensive skills for his time playing running back in high school. He says that his strengths are plugging holes and making plays on the outside, due to knowing what a running back thinks on the field.

Allen is unsure about when he'll be signing, but says he is aiming to be a December grad. If that falls through, he'd probably wait until February to sign. A commitment could come after he makes a couple of official visits, or until he feels completely comfortable with a staff and a program. USC is showing some interest but hasn't offered yet. Growing up in Oregon, he watched OSU and Oregon as a kid, but says that he doesn't have a preference to either school and just wants to go where he's most comfortable, whether that's in Oregon or elsewhere.

Right now, Utah is sticking out the most for Allen.

More soon. Here are his highlights:
