A few weeks back, the Utes offered Oklahoma linebacker commit Edgerrin Cooper. I spoke with him tonight, as he’s coming in town for a official visit and he’s eager to get out here. He mentioned that he loved the fight in the defense against Washington. He also mentioned that Swan and the other coaches are drilling home how dominant this defense is and the opportunity that awaits him. As of now, Utah and Oklahoma are his main interests, but he’ll sign in February and he would like to potentially take five trip. If the Utes can flip him, he’ll bring exactly what they needed as someone who hits hard, can cover, and loves to blitz. He’ll be hosted by his former teammate, Devin Brumfield.
