I know this has been kicked around a lot in other posts but the board isn't ultra saturated with posts so why not? Now that the NCAA tourney is over, Jakob has a big decision to make. Does he stay or does he go.

4 Reasons for leaving?

1. Money, money and more money!
2. His stock may be as high right now as it would be next year unless he just blows up next year and is averages a double-double.
3. He may feel that he'll develop faster in the NBA than at Utah.
4. Coach K tells him he should make the leap and go to the NBA while the opportunity to be a first round pick is there.

4 Reasons for staying?

1. He's only been in the U.S. a year. He not only needs some work on his game and his body but he needs more time to learn the U.S. game and more time to acclimate to the U.S.
2. His parents may feel strongly about him and his education. I know this is a stretch because two years isn't a whole lot more worthwhile than one. His parents likely look at things differently than most parents of kids who have been AAU stars since 3rd grade. He likely has limited friends outside of his Utah teammates and a move to the NBA is another big, big change in his life in a very short time.
3. It's hard to not see him being even better next year and if he stays healthy, depending on the strength of the draft, maybe he moves up in the draft if he's more "NBA ready."
4. Coach K. tells him about the reality of the NBA as a business and strongly encourages him to enjoy himself and college at least one more year and to get more "NBA ready."

I think it's about 80-20 he goes to the NBA and likely ends up picked in the 15 to 22 area. I've seen him in some mock drafts at various places (Draft Express at #11), nbadraft.net (not listed - not sure why), mynbadraft.com (#20), Jeff Goodman ESPN NBA Insideer (#27), Chad Ford ESPN Insider (#19 but this was on 3/11/15), hoopsrumors.com (#18). He's also not listed on a couple. I'm sure you'll find many more.
