I think the conference is tougher than expected. While there may not be a dominant team, there are few, if any, automatic W's. It should be a very entertaining season. Utah starts off @ Stanford. A must win game to compete for the league title. Here's my power rankings.

1. Arizona - until someone knocks them off, they are presumably top dog.
2. Oregon - they are the Stanford of basketball. I keep thinking they will take a step back, but they don't.
3. Utah - Lots to like. Perimeter play still a concern.
4. Colorado - Coach gives them an edge over some of the others.
5. UCLA - See above.
6. USC - Weakest preseason schedule among the conference contenders, but definitely improved.
7. Cal - Young, and therefore, inconsistent. Head guy is a recruiter not so much an X and O ace.
8. Oregon St. - Young but not quite as talented as Cal's freshmen. Better X and O coach though.
9. Washington - Pretty strong team to be slotted here. But, that's my take.
10. ASU - Not as talented as teams above them. Can't stand Bobby Hurley either. Hope they finish 12th
11. Stanford - Does less with more than anyone else in the league.
12. Wash. St. - teams in the 10-12 slot are interchangeable, but a notch below the rest of the league.

Nine teams could make it to the NCAA's although league will probably get 7 slots.
