Rutgers is toying around with hiring a booster (a business consultant) to become the recruiting coordinator.

I think this is interesting because, recruiting really has very little to do with football. Obviously the coaches and the positions, schemes, etc. need to be included. However, most of recruiting is marketing. As such, there really is no reason a non-football person cannot excel in this position.
Should be interesting to see how it all works out for them.
